School Rules

School day begins with the morning assembly, ten minutes ahead of which, all should reach the school premises.

  • Discipline is an integral part of the learning process. For this a student has to learn self control of his emotion and impulses. He must learn to live in harmony with others.
  • Order must he the hall mark of the school. For this, an atmosphere of silence must be maintained by everyone during working hours in class rooms, staff rooms and offie.
  • Students are required to behave politely and avoid use of indecent languages or actions injurious to the feelings of fellow students, teachers and others in this school. Any such behaviour indicative of hurting others, caste or community will attract serious disciplinary action.
  • All should speak English within the class and in the school premises.
  • Special care must be taken to see that silence is maintained during the change of periods.
  • School shall not be responsible for goods or money which is lost. Students are responsible for the safe custody of their belongings.
  • Any damage of the school property is to be made good by the student at fault or if not traceable, by all the students collectively.
  • Students are expected to take part in extra – curricular activities with all the enthusiasm and a spirit of sportsmanship.
  • Money, books other than school books, periodicals, news papers, transistors, pagers, MP3 players, digital players, mobile/cell phones, CD’s, Storage Devices or any other articles not approved by the principal, should not be brought to school. Violating these rules will lead to the confication of the article.
  • The class rooms, corridors and the school premises should be kept neat and clean. No littering is expected.
  • Collection of money or materials for any purpose, whatsoever, may be undertaken with the previous permission of the principal. Presenting gifts to any members of the staff on any occasion by the students is prohibited.
  • The school will not be liable to make any transportation arrangement for the students. Thus, the parents themselves are expected to make arrangement for the conveyance of their ward. St. Mary’s School, Afzalgarh -15-
  • Wrist watch is not allowed up to class VIII.
  • Running, playing, shouting and whistling inside the school building is not allowed. Walk always in a single line in silence.
  • No pupil is exempted from games and physical training without a Medical Certifiate.
  • No child is permitted to enter the staffroom. No chid shall enter any class room, other than her/his own without permission of teachers.
  • Students are not allowed to tear any page from the School Diary & Note Book.
  • Money should not be lent or borrowed or articles exchanged.
  • During the school hours, no pupil will be allowed to leave the premises without the permission of the principal and the permission of the parents.
